A number of clients have been asking me the same question, How do I add fancy stars to our SQL Server Reporting Services reports?
Solution:
There are a number of different stars, in the Wingdings fonts.
To add them to SSRS reports, one can use the function CHR():
CHR(0169) 3 point star
CHR(0170) 4 point star
CHR(0171) 5 point star
CHR(0172) 6 point star
CHR(0173) 7 point star
CHR(0174) 8 point star
CHR(0175) 7 point star outline
