A - Z of a Successful Freelance IT Trainer: X is for Xtras

As a freelance trainer, it is always the little xtras that have made the difference.

This is what makes us a more exciting and a better value for money propersition, to potential and/or current clients.

This is what makes the client come back to you time and time again, as well as winning business from one's competitors.

When I have won business from my bigger competitors, I always ask why they decided to use my business, it always seems to come down to the little extras that I did during tendering and/or selection process, as well as what they get pre and post training assignment.

Contratory what people think, when purchasing products and/or services, price does not come that high on the list, there are a number of other factors involved in the decision process, including:
  • Knowledge,
  • Reputation,
  • Credibility,
  • Honesty,
  • Flexibility,
  • Reliability, and
  • Authenticity.

The great think about giving xtras, is that more often than not, it does not cost you alot, but it can mean a world of difference to the client.
