ORMIS & SQL Reporting Services 2005 Report Design Contract

Julia has just started a contract with a North West Hospital Trust, designing management information reports, from the ORMIS theatre management system.

Currently the management information analysis is being done using Excel, and the process too slow and resource intensive.

The contract will use SQL Reporting Services 2005, to extract, analyse and report from ORMIS to:

  • Improve the data entry quality

  • Highlight any missing essential patient data

  • Monitor the utilisation of the consultants

  • Record the number of operations cancelled and the reasons

  • Calculate the cost of treatments by month, specilaity and consultant

  • Other Hospital Key Performanace Indicators

  • Enable key stakeholders within the hospital to access the reports when and where they need it

To enable easy access to these management reports, the reports will be published to the SQL Server Reporting Service Report Manager, and subscriptions will be set up to deliver the reports, by email, to the required key stakeholders on a regular basis, and shared folders, ensuring they have the correct decision-making information at their fingertips.
