How Do I Display a Text Object in the Page Footer, only on the Last Page in Crystal Reports?

I have been asked a number of times in the last week by delegates and clients, "How do I display a text object only on the last page in the page footer of the report in Crystal Reports?"

Solution:

There are a number of ways to achieve this but the quickest way is to use Crystal Reports Print State functions.

To only display a text object on the page footer of the last page:
  1. Add the the text object to the page footer section of the report
  2. Right click on the text object
  3. Select the Format object menu option
  4. In the Format Editor dialog box, click on the Common Tab
  5. Press the Suppress conditional formatting button [x +2]
  6. In the Formula Workshop add the following formula:

    PageNumber <> TotalPageCount

  7. Press the Save and Close button

Hi Lavanya What information do you want to put in the page footer at the end of the group?

Alternatively you could just add the information to the group footer and push the group footer to the bottom of the page.

Then suppress the page footer

Hope this helps

Hi, I need to add a blank page at the end of every group if the group report page count is odd (for duplex printing). I have already achieved that. However, now I am asked to put "This page is left blank intentionally" on the blank page inserted. How do I accomplish this? I am very new to crystal report (its my day 1 today). I am able to print this, but not on the blank page, but on the page before with information, at the end (by putting default text in group footer). Your help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Prashant, What is the formula that you used to achieve this? If that formula adds a blank page after the group footer, then you should also apply the same formula to text object, with the additional condition, to take into consideration, if the page number is odd. Cheers Julia
